1) I agree to pay the full workshop and accomodation fee. I clearly understand that the full fee for the workshops must be paid even if I am unable to attend all the sessions or leave early.
2) I understand that The School of Ecstatic Movement may ask me to leave if I do not follow the teacher’s reasonable instructions (such as not following instructions intended to protect my or another person’s safety) and/or I behave inappropriately or act unreasonably or offensively, as determined by the teacher(s) leading this training.
3) I understand that we shall be working deeply and recognise that it is a possibility that the workshop may bring up issues that may be challenging or distressing. Whilst the teacher(s) will support all participants on the training, I understand this is not a therapy group and that I am ultimately responsible for my own process.
4) I hereby disclose any relevant information concerning my physical/emotional/mental health. Please include full details of all medication that you currently receive, full details of any psychiatric care that you receive or have ever received, full details of any medical conditions that may be aggravated due to physical work or psychological stress.
If in ANY doubt, please detail in full. If you are currently under medical or psychiatric supervision, you must provide a Doctor’s letter or certificate confirming your fitness to take part in this workshop as well as notifying The School of Ecstatic Movement as requested above.
Our workshops and retreats are not suitable for those with psychiatric or deep emotional issues or those looking for counselling or therapy, as our faculty are not professionally qualified in these areas. The School of Ecstatic Movement faculty and members of the School of Ecstatic Movement team are also not trained in allopathic medicine and do not know your medical history so cannot offer any specific medical advice whilst on this workshop
5) I understand that the teacher on this workshop will be sharing unpublished material with me during this event and, as a consequence, I hereby agree not to publish that material, conduct workshops, or otherwise teach methods and practises learnt on the workshop, this is not a training course to teach this method.
6) I understand that confidentiality will be expected from all participants regarding all personal details & personal processes of others both during and after the training.
7) I understand that The School of Ecstatic Movement Workshop Environment is a smoke free and alcohol free environment. If you wish to smoke, there is a always a designated smoking area. No recreational drugs may be brought to our Residential and any workshop participants found intoxicated or under the influence of recreational drugs will be asked to leave the training, with no refund being given.
8) I understand that I am attending a residential retreat with The School of Ecstatic Movement at Church Farm Ardeley and may be sharing a tent with one or more other participants, The School of Ecstatic Movement takes no responsibility for the actions of the person/s with whom you share. If for whatever reason you are unhappy with your room share, including but not limited to: clash of personalities; disagreements; snoring; other annoying habits etc, The School of Ecstatic Movement cannot be held responsible. If an altercation arises and there are no other beds available, we will be unable to move you. You also agree to follow the safety and behavioural conduct rules of the host farm. Church farm is a quiet campsite and no amplified music is permitted after 9 pm and without prior agreement from the owners. Dogs are welcome but must be on a lead at all times to protect the farm’s animals and the local wildlife population.
By choosing to enrol in this workshop and signing this agreement, I am making a commitment and agreeing to all eight of the above points. The way we deliver our training has changed, but we know how much our hundreds of students over the years have both enjoyed and been transformed by the residential element of the training. So while sitting on a rock on the beach in Pelion, Rebecca had the idea to offer a stand-alone retreat that has all the favourite bits of the previous residential module.

The main difference is that now the retreat has no examination element, it is crafted specifically to allow the participants a deeply transformative experience for themselves, and is open to anyone with some experience of Ecstatic Dance.
This residential retreat is limited to 15 participants and 10 of these spaces are held exclusively for teachers, to ensure a warm and secure healing environment for women and men. The retreat is fully inclusive of food and shared rooms. Although the experience is fully immersive there will be plenty of time for relaxation to enjoy the nourishing surroundings of Pelion and for this reason we have decided to open places for partners, friends and family to accompany participants.
